Don’t Be That Guy: Choose Smart, Not Shiny

High school graduate distracted by fancy colleges, versus high ROI college decisions.

Everyone loves the prestigious $200K private college flex, but here’s the truth: your general education credits are the same no matter where you take them. English 101 doesn’t suddenly become life-changing because the campus has ivy on the walls. Plus, the cost of that one class could be four times that of a community college. And, let’s be honest, your future employer couldn't care less where you took English 101.

A 2+2 program (community college + transfer) gives you the exact same diploma for a fraction of the cost. I mean thousands, maybe even tens of thousands of dollars in savings. Too many students get distracted by college rankings, famous faculty (that you will probably never meet), sports teams, gourmet meal plans, and tailgates, which don’t add real value to their degree. Don’t chase hype—focus on ROI.

Freedom beats debt every time.
